Spread over 10 days with over 2,000 musicians performing at over 50 venues – including famous names like Andy Sheppard, James Farm and Jamie Cullen – London Jazz Festival is one of capital’s biggest annual music events. But, it’s not only about the live shows. Each day also includes workshops and talks with some of the musicians for a truly immersive experience.

Guy Fawkes Night

Dating back to 1605, when Guy Fawkes attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament in the infamous Gunpowder Plot, bonfire night is celebrated countrywide with fires to warm your hands by and spectacular fireworks displays. Events are hosted in parks across the city, including the fireworks, food and funfair extravaganza of Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival; the resoundingly popular Blackheath Fireworks, which attracts around 100,000 people each year; and the music filled Victoria Park Fireworks.

Faith after the pharaohs looks into how the ancient land was transformed by the Jews, Christians and Muslims who made their mark there, with each object shown telling its own intriguing story.
