This new festival will transform Leicester Square into a wintery celebration of traditional Christmas markets and festive entertainment, including Santa’s Grotto and the award-winning show, La Soirée.

Christmas Market at Tate Modern

This nostalgic Christmas market of Bavarian-style wooden huts is set up each year between the Tate Modern and the banks of the Thames. Fitting in with this setting, each stall sells handmade artisanal goods that make ideal gifts, as well as warming festive fare like roast chestnuts and mulled wine.

The Great Christmas Pudding Race

Held each December in London, within Covent Garden, the Great Christmas Pudding Race is hosted in aid of Cancer Research, with entertainment starting late morning, before the fun race of costumed participants kicks off shortly after midday.

Carol singing and a torch-lit procession both take place here in the lead up to Christmas, but the attraction that remains throughout the entire festive period is the towering Christmas tree. Not only is this tree a sight to behold, it also has a rich tradition surrounding it, brought over each year from Norway.
