They say it is lonely at the top and for the Shah of Persia, that is true.

He is feeling blue and in need of a spark in his life.

To find it he and his eunuch pack their bags and head to Vienna where the shah falls head-over-heels in love with the empress of the empire, much to the dismay of her husband.

The shah cannot have the women he desires, however, at a local brothel there is someone who could pass as the empress's twin sister and she is substituted for a night of passion.

As is the case with love, things are never simple.

The shah is besotted with the lady, but she has eyes for a baron, however, he is having an affair with the soap manufacturer's wife.

Paradise Found is based on Joseph Roth's The Tale of 1002nd Night and tells the story of a complicated love triangle set to the music of Johann Strauss.

Making its debut at the Menier Chocolate Factory, it promises an exciting night's entertainment for theatre lovers.

Couples on a romantic break away can enjoy each other's company at the luxury London hotel the 41 when the curtain comes down.
