Event: Urban Africa
Date: March 31st until September 5th
The name David Adjaye may not be one many are familiar with, but he is one of the most highly-regarded architects of his generation and has helped to shape the skylines of some of the world's great cities.
Recently, he has put down his pencil and picked up his camera to document key cities in Africa as part of a project studying new patterns of urbanism.
Travelling to Rwanda, Libya, Nigeria and South Africa, Mr Adjaye's pictures reveal the cities themselves and examine the buildings and places which have a special resonance with his obsessions as an architect.
To go with the images, there will be a backdrop of African beats specially composed by Mr Adjaye to create a rich diversity of architecture, culture and urban landscape all in one place.
For those unfamiliar with his work, this is a great chance to see what interests and inspires him and how such projects shape his own work.
It is also a chance for those who are unfamiliar with the luxury London hotel the 41 to experience unrivalled class and comfort on a weekend break.
With the Get More From Your Stay package, guests are offered a choice from a bottle of Laurent Perrier on arrival, Champagne afternoon tea, a romantic turndown including chocolate-dipped strawberries, a three-course table d'hote dinner for two and a late checkout until 18:00 GMT.
