Event: Ivana Muller - Playing Ensemble Again
Date: January 23rd and 24th
Performance artist and director Ivana Mueller made a big impression on the capital's creative arts scene earlier this year with While We Were Holding It Together, which was a funny and philosophical tribute to the power of the imagination.
Those who were not fortunate enough to see it can learn all about her and her unique vision in her latest production, Playing Ensemble Again and Again, which will land at Sadler's Wells early in the New Year.
Six performers will take to the stage, moving slowly together through time and space and reconstructing their lives step-by-step.
Mueller combines the spoken word and movement to distort time and create an intimate performance-within-performance which is funny, sad and dramatic in equal measure.
For couples enjoying a weekend break at the luxury London hotel the 41, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy what is sure to be one of the most impressive shows that will take place in the capital in 2010.
After the show comes to an end, visitors can make the short 15 minute journey back to the hotel and sip some fine Laurent Perrier Champagne, courtesy of the Get More From Your Stay package.
Those who prefer can instead opt for Champagne afternoon tea the next day, a romantic turndown including chocolate-dipped strawberries, a three-course table d'hote meal for two or a late checkout until 18:00 GMT.
