Event: The Mysteries - Yiimimangaliso
Date: September 11th until October 3rd
Last year, the Olivier Award-winning South African theatre company The Mysteries wowed West End audiences with their critically-acclaimed show The Magic Flute, a production filled with vibrant song, dance and music which could be heard across the city.
Now, the group are making their way back to the capital with their new play Yiimimangaliso, which promises to be just as colourful and eventful as the spectacle they put on in 2008.
Led by Pauline Malefane, the 33 performers will take various tales and deliver them with a Southern African twist, with everything from the Creation and the Resurrection to Noah's Ark and the Nativity all being told.
Just 25 performances are planned for their second visit to the capital, meaning that there is likely to be fierce demand for both tickets and somewhere to stay.
Luckily, the luxury London hotel the 41 is just seven minutes away from the Garrick Theatre, making it the ideal place to stay before and after the show.
With a two-night stay, guests can enjoy a bottle of Laurent Perrier champagne, thanks to the wonderful Get More From Your Stay package.
Alternatively, visitors can choose instead to sit down to a three-course table d'hote dinner for two or opt for a romantic turndown, which includes chocolate-dipped strawberries.
