Event: Afternoon tea in William Morris' Red House
Date: Until December
The Victorian splendour of Red House in Bexleyheath is the perfect surrounding for couples to enjoy a nice afternoon, sipping tea and spending some quality time in each other's company.
An internationally significant Arts and Crafts Movement house, it was built for the artist, designer and poet William Morris, who helped design it with his friend Philip Webb.
Webb was an architect by trade and his vision was to capture Morris' love of all things medieval in each and every brick.
The result was a stunning feat of design, which to this day still retains the charm Webb put into it.
On the inside, visitors will have the opportunity to see original items of furniture created by the two friends, wall paintings and stained glass by Edward Burne-Jones and lush gardens, as well as a tea room, gift shop and more.
Red House is steeped in tradition, as is the luxury London hotel the 41, and those who pass through the doors of both establishments will leave feeling very happy.
When staying at the 41, you can have it As You Like It, with guests able to tailor their stay exactly how they want it, starting with the room and then the various perks which the hotel provides.
