Event: The Wapping Group of Artists
Date: Mqarch 2nd until March 7th
The Wapping Group of Artists was born in 1939, when members of the Artists Society and the Langham Sketching Club decided to come together in the summer months and sketch by the river Thames.
Fast forward 70 years and the collective is still going strong and their latest work will go on display at the Mall Galleries next month.
The 63rd Annual Exhibition follows in the same traditions as previous ones, with visitors from overseas and outside of the capital staying at the luxury London hotel the 41 having the chance to see the wonderful sketches and paintings captured along one of the world's most-famous waterways.
Female travellers will love the perks provided by the Kate Starkey Couture package which include two nights accommodation in a King Room, champagne on arrival, a custom-made suit and two bespoke ladies shirts, plus much more.
At the exhibition, visitors will see the ever-changing face of London documented over the years by this dedicated and passionate group of painters, making it a wonderful event for both art fans and historians.
