Event: The Sleeping Beauty
Date: December 3rd until December 14th
Fairies will be flying, spells will be cast and curses will be handed out in London this winter as Sleeping Beauty takes to the Coliseum stage, played out to Tchaikovsky's glorious music.
While Walt Disney's cartoon won children's hearts many years ago, the English National Opera will entertain the adults with a tale of good vs evil and love vs hate.
Princess Aurora is bestowed with gifts of generosity, wit, purity, temperament and beauty, however the wicked fairy Carabosse puts a curse on her which will see her prick her finger and die on her 16th birthday.
To fight the curse, the Lilac Fairy casts a spell which sees the princess fall asleep for 100 years, only being awoken by true love's kiss.
Audiences can look forward to a journey through castles and forests, watching a supernatural battle unfold before their eyes all set to a delightful musical score.
Following this mystical experience, attendees can round off their experience by staying in a suite at the luxury London hotel the 41.
Those on family breaks can enjoy the Kid's Weekend package, which provides the youngsters with a special menu and a welcome pack with games, as well as the chance to help prepare a meal for mum and dad.
Alternatively, couples travelling alone can transfer the love from the stage to the room with the hotel's Suite Dreams deal, where chocolate-dipped strawberries, Joseph Perrier Rose champagne and a three-course table d'hote dinner for two.
Why not treat yourselves, or the whole family?
