Event: Andy Warhol: Other Voices, Other Rooms
Date: October 7th January 18th
Fans of pop art will not want to miss the first major exhibition of Andy Warhol's work in 20 years taking place at the Southbank Centre in October.
A fresh perspective will be given to his way of thinking and working in the Andy Warhol: Other Voices, Other Rooms expo.
Attendees will be treated to a selection of paintings and prints of some of popular culture's biggest icons, including Marilyn Monroe as well as films, television programmes, delicate drawings and wallpaper patterns.
The gallery plans to present the artist's work in a new light, using the moving image to explore his fascination with voyeurism, celebrity, the mundane and the blurring lines between high and low culture.
Ralph Rugoff, director of the Hayward, said visitors will be given a look at the mechanics of Warhol's mind and way of thinking.
"This exhibition offers an innovative and insightful exploration not just of his extraordinary artistic achievement, but also of his pioneering way of looking at both art and the world," he stated.
Being the first exhibition of its kind in two decades, attendance could be high which means accommodation may be in high demand.
Female travellers keen on enjoying a girl's break or parents looking to take their young ones on a family break could ensure they have somewhere comfortable to stay by booking a suite at the luxury London hotel the 41.
The hotel's Shop till you drop package could interest female travellers as they could enjoy some retail therapy with £50 worth of vouchers for Selfridges.
Families may prefer the Kid's Weekend package which provides lots of fun activities for the young ones to enjoy, such as a tour of the hotel and a surprise turndown treat.
