Carnival season will soon be in full swing in London and guests staying at luxury London hotel the 41 can enjoy a family break this August taking in the sights and sounds of the Grand Carnival Costume Splash.

Children in particular are sure to be thrilled by the colourful and vibrant costumes on display throughout carnival season - which includes events such as the Notting Hill Carnival - and some of the most sparkly and exciting garments get deployed at the Grand Carnival Costume Splash.

Notting Hill Carnival's Grand Carnival Costume Splash is taking on August 18th and August 19th and includes children's competition and adults competitions.

According to LondonTown, the most "exciting" facet of the Notting Hill Carnival is masquerade - better known as Mas - for which London's Caribbean communities create sequinned and glittered outfits for the Splash costume competition.

This event is a great opportunity to get a good glimpse of the majestic costumes ahead of the Notting Hill Festival crowds.
