Walk the treetops at Kew

Event: Kew Gardens' Xstrata and Rhizotron treetop walkway

Visitors to London can enjoy breathtaking scenic views from the treetops of Kew Gardens as part of a stroll through the Xstrata and Rhizotron treetop walkway.

Open to members of the public from May 24th 2008, the Xstrata and Rhizotron treetop walk allows visitors to experience the surrounding scenery from a maximum height of 18 metres and get a view of the trees that is rarely possible for most members of the public.

Some of the stunning attractions that can be seen from the walkway include beautiful birds and insects and a stunning selection of plant life that features everything from sweet chestnuts to deciduous oak trees.

Anyone visiting Kew Garden's treetop walkway may wish to stay a night or two at the 41 luxury London hotel.

The walkway is open to the public between 09:30 and 17:30 GMT.
