Bupa London 10k

Event: Bupa London 10k
Date: May 26th 2008

Guests staying at Red Carnation Hotels such as the 41, who either missed the London Marathon in April or still have energy remaining for another race, may be interested to know that the Bupa London 10k will take place next month, starting and finishing at St James's Park.

Using Green Park as its assembly area, the 10 kilometre course starts on Birdcage Walk and takes an anti-clockwise route around the City of Westminster and the City of London.

If you are enjoying a family break at the 41 and don't fancy running along with the hordes, there are plenty of places for spectators to position themselves as the race passes through Parliament Square and onto Trafalgar Square before finishing in The Mall.

Entry to individual runners is now closed but there is still space available to those looking to raise money for charity.

If you are intending to watch the race as part of a family break at a Red Carnation Hotel in London, the route passes by some famous London landmarks, such as Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and St Paul's Cathedral.

Bupa claims that training for and taking part in the run is a "brilliant way" to look after yourself and can help towards leading a healthier, more active lifestyle in the future.

And if you choose to run for charities such as the Spinal Injuries Association, the RNLI or Cancer Research UK there is the added feel-good factor of knowing that your achievements are benefiting others too.
