Event: Blood on Paper: The Art of the Book

A display featuring the Victoria and Albert Museum's collection of books by famous artists of the 20th and 21st centuries will be on show for guests of luxury London hotel 41 to view this spring.
Guests visiting the museum from April 15th until June 29th 2008 can enjoy Blood on Paper: The Art of the Book.
According to the Victoria and Albert Museum, the exhibition focuses on books which reveal the creative process as well as the "soul" of a particular artist.
The exhibition also attempts to portray the role of the book in conjunction with leading artists both contemporary and of recent times.
So-called "iconic" works following the second world war will be included while a mixture of mediums from hot metal printing techniques, to "large-scale" installations and sculptures will be examined.
Visitors attending the exhibition from nearby luxury London hotel 41 can learn about artists such as Matisse, Picasso and Braque as well as Anselm Kiefer, Anish Kapoor and Georg Baselitz.
Artists of the 20th and 21st centuries to be represented will include Louise Bourgeois, Anthony Caro, Damien Hirst, Sol Lewitt, Robert Motherwell and Robert Rauschenberg among others.
