The Rubens at the Palace Hotel, a 4* property and Hotel 41, a 5* property are situated in Victoria overlooking and Royal Mews. Both hotels have unique style rooms, the Rubens being a 160 rooms hotel including luxury suites and Hotel 41 being a 30 rooms hotel. Our Reservations department are now searching for a competent Group Reservations Agent, able to handle all requests for accommodation in a timely manor, to join their friendly and vibrant reservations team.
A successful Reservations Agent should demonstrate excellent written and spoken communication skills and with an eye for attention to detail. High levels of customer service and care are essential to fulfil this role to its highest standards along with great team working skills. As a Reservations Agent you should demonstrate a fun loving and lively character with a great sense of humour as well as enthusiasm. Displaying confidence is essential in order to be disciplined in effective time management skills; displaying the competence to perform under pressure and following direction.
As a Reservations Agent it is essential to have IT skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, Maestro knowledge is also desirable, alongside general awareness of the office environment. Front Office, Reservations or Group experience is favourable as well as knowledge in the French or Spanish language. As a Reservations Agent a flexible approach to working hours is essential. Maximising occupancy and rooms revenue at every opportunity is essential, therefore up selling is the key!
