Rum drinkers from across the UK are preparing to descend on London for the seventh annual Rumfest.

On October 12th and 13th at the ExCel centre in the heart of London's Docklands, thousands of connoisseurs will take the opportunity to sample and buy some of 400 different rums, taste cocktails created by some of the UK's top mixologists, watch demonstrations and attend drink-making masterclasses.

Not only that, but visitors to the event will also be able to enjoy live musical entertainment including salsa, reggae and samba, stroll round a tropical food market and watch cooking shows hosted by chef Hasan de Four.

Exhibitors at this year's show include Appleton Estate, Wray & Nephew, Zacapa and Bibendum, so you can be sure that you'll get to try some truly fantastic rums from across the world.

'Rumfest is the ultimate rum experience for rum drinkers, rum aficionados and rum lovers,' commented global rum ambassador Ian Burrell.

The event is open each day from 12pm until 5pm, with last orders at 4.30pm. There are a wide range of ticket options available, from £25 for general admission to £80 for a weekend pass, which includes access to 'Connoisseurs Cove'. You can also purchase additional tickets for special events, such as the £45 'Rum and Cigar Masterclass' - where two classic flavours will be combined.

If you're looking for somewhere special to stay during your visit, then look no further than the 41 hotel in the centre of London. Situated close to Jubilee Line stations for easy access to the east of the city, this boutique residence is also home to the Leopard Champagne & Cocktail Bar - the ideal place for continuing the party after last pour at Rumfest.

If you're all 'rummed out' by then, you can sip whisky, cognac, armagnac or fine wine instead, as well as Champagnes by the glass, including Laurent Perrier and Pink Cristal.
