Poets After Dark at the Southbank Centre

  • Category: Art & Culture
  • Dates: Tuesday, 02 April 2013 to Wednesday, 03 April 2013

The Southbank Centre will be hosting live evening poetry readings as part of its Light Show exhibition on April 2nd and 3rd 2013.

Entitled Poets After Dark, the event will see ten of the UK's leading poets performing new pieces that have been specially commissioned to capture the artists' reactions to the Light Show's various sculptures and artworks, which utilise light in different ways.

Mimi Khavlati, Sam Riviere, Kate Tempest, Simon Barraclough, Tamar Yoseloff, Julia Bird and Chris McCabe will be among the participating poets, meaning guests will be able to enjoy a range of poetic styles before exploring the gallery for themselves.

Tickets to Poets After Dark cost £15, with the price also including entry to the Light Show exhibition itself.

This deal could be perfect for couples enjoying a luxury London hotel break courtesy of The 41 Hotel's Romantically package, which includes perks such as a red rose on arrival and a choice of extras such as chocolates, Champagne, candles and caviar.
