Running on October 27th and 28th, the event will bring together musicians, intellectuals and scientists for various sessions that contemplate the question of whether art can make life worth living. Speakers include writer and broadcaster Stephen Johnson, TV presenter John Suchet, City of London Festival director Ian Ritchie and Beethoven expert Barry Cooper, all of whom will discuss different aspects of the composer's life and work. The talks will be punctuated by a number of performances of some of the classical icon's most famous compositions.
